If you wish to infuse a touch of Europe into your home, you now have the opportunity to integrate European light switches. Since 2010, Forbes & Lomax has provided replicas of English switches that are specifically designed to be compatible with our electrical system.

For me, a bridge evokes many emotions, awed by its beauty and intelligence and romanticized by the notion of fear and adventure.   I snapped this picture of the Astoria-Megler, a steel girder continuous bridge (extra awe) that spans the Columbia river between Oregon and Washington.  Currently, it’s the opening screen on my laptop.

I admire the contemporary aesthetic and cozy sensation of the Costura Sofa Collection, a new line of upholstered sectionals and chairs by the talented designer Jon Gasca, exclusively available at DWR.

Nierman Weeks,  a family owned lighting and accessories company is one of my favorite companies.  I am especially impressed with how their designs are based in antiquity but work remarkably well in modern interiors.  I just love their mirrors in this picture! niermanweeks.com
