During my time in art school, David Salle held a significant place in my admiration, becoming a hero figure who played a crucial role in sparking my budding passion for design. As a painter, I found myself deeply influenced by his distinct approach to draftsmanship and his innovative technique of dividing images into compartments. Salle had a remarkable ability to weave multiple narratives within a single painting and seamlessly merge them into a cohesive composition. These characteristics, I believe, also embody the essence of a well-designed room. Ah, the artistry of interior design, with its parallels to Salle’s mastery of storytelling through visual elements.
