I was talking with a client today about blackboard paint for her home office in Denver. The conversation made me think about a fun project I did. Pictured here is the entrance of a private art studio/foundation office. I had the staircase wall painted with blackboard paint. The owner wrote inspiring sayings on the wall….

For me, a bridge evokes many emotions, awed by its beauty and intelligence and romanticized by the notion of fear and adventure. I snapped this picture of the Astoria-Megler, a steel girder continuous bridge (extra awe) that spans the Columbia river between Oregon and Washington. Currently, it’s the opening screen on my laptop.
Canopy by Artistic Tile is my new favorite tile! A 3 dimensional, 16″ x 16″ hand carved stone tile. It reminds me of Japanese woodblock printing. In the last decade tile has gotten more intricate and can be works of art. Great tiles make any interior design look great.
Hard to believe the four seasons in Vail will celebrate its 6th anniversary this year. I remember writing about the excitement surrounding it’s opening. The interior design has aged very well, the patina makes the space feel warmer.
