It’s fun emptying the dishwasher.

  Pantone is a world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems.  A system that is used for identifying, matching and communicating colors throughout the graphic design, architecture,  fashion, home furnishing industries.  They are a big player. Pantone’s color of 2015 is Marsala which happens to be one of my favorite colors.

From unfinished Indian rosewood veneer to statue display shelves and mirror.    Big thanks to Dave at B&B rare woods in Golden, Colorado for his time guiding me through his vast selection of wood species.  

In the 1940’s, the hotel’s 9th floor (penthouse) was converted to several high end apartments. Below the authentic concept drawing from that remodel. It was exciting for me, to view the drawing in the actual space today.  Shocked to discover the furnishings from 70 years ago were more contemporary.

I originally saw this  sconce in NYC at the Holly Hunt showroom. It’s graceful proportions and brilliant way it  releases light blew me away.   I ordered two of them for a project  in Denver.  They will be on either side of a painting and above a fireplace.  I will share pictures when they are…
